Recreational Program

CBC’s Recreational Program provides a fun, engaging introduction to several dance styles. Ideal for dancers of all backgrounds who are just beginning to discover their interest in the arts, these recreational classes emphasize exposure to different dance styles in a supportive, no-pressure environment. Students learn basic techniques while expressing themselves through dance. Friendly instructors make each class an enjoyable experience focused on exploration rather than rigorous training. CBC’s Recreational Program fosters an appreciation of dance as a fun activity, allowing students to follow their natural interests at their own pace.

Acro Dance (3-7 Year Old Dancers)

Our Acro Dance class for younger dancers seamlessly blends the expressive art of dance with fundamental acrobatic elements. Through a series of interactive games and structured exercises, children enhance their flexibility, strength, and balance while learning basic dance routines and tumbling skills. Tuition is on an hourly basis – Full hourly rates can be seen here

Contemporary (3-7 Year Old Dancers)

Our Contemporary Dance class offers a creative exploration of movement, where dancers learn to express emotion through fluid dance techniques and improvisation. Drawing from modern, jazz, and ballet, students develop technical skills, musicality, and the freedom to explore their unique style of dance expression. Tuition is on an hourly basis – Full hourly rates can be seen here

Hip Hop (3-7 Year Old Dancers)

Our Hip Hop Dance class provides an energetic and dynamic platform for dancers to delve into the pulsating world of hip hop culture. Through engaging lessons and choreographed routines, students learn the fundamentals of hip hop, enhancing their rhythm, coordination, and individual style. Tuition is on an hourly basis – Full hourly rates can be seen here

Jazz (3-7 Year Old Dancers)

Our Jazz Dance class immerses students in the vibrant world of jazz, blending energetic rhythms and unique dance styles. Tap (3-7 Year Old Dancers)

Our Tap Dance class is a rhythmic adventure, offering students an engaging exploration of tap dance’s unique blend of dance and percussive sound. Through structured exercises and playful routines, dancers learn precise footwork, rhythm patterns, and musicality, fostering their coordination and timing. Tuition is on an hourly basis – Full hourly rates can be seen here

Primary Program

CBC’s Primary Program offers young dancers ages 3-7 an engaging introduction to classical ballet technique and creative movement. Students will explore movement and fundamental ballet positions in a positive and encouraging environment. CBC’s instructors nurture each child’s growing motor skills, coordination, and self-confidence through developmental exercises and strength building practices. Our Primary Program instill a genuine love of dance in young students as they learn through a balanced focus on fun, creative exploration, and self-expression. Students also receive a solid foundation of fundamental dance skills to support a lifetime of learning and enjoyment in this art form. 

Ballet

Creative Movement (3-4 Year Old Dancers)

Our Creative Movement class is a fun-filled introduction to dance for our youngest students. Children will explore the fundamental concepts of movement, while developing physical coordination, spatial and musical awareness, and confidence. Each class fosters discovery and imagination, allowing students to freely express themselves as they learn the basics of ballet technique. Above all, the focus on exploration and creative self expression aims to instill a genuine love of dance in our little ones! Tuition is on an hourly basis – Full hourly rates can be seen here

Pre Ballet (5-6 Year Old Dancers)

Our Pre-Ballet class provides a gentle and delightful introduction to ballet, specially designed for our young, aspiring dancers. Through age-appropriate exercises and playful choreography, students discover the magic of ballet, developing basic techniques, musicality, and a love for graceful movement. Tuition is on an hourly basis – Full hourly rates can be seen here

Conservatory Division

The Conservatory Division offers concentrated, high-caliber instruction and serious training to help prepare dancers for the professional world of ballet. Through this intensive program, students receive specialized technical coaching and artistic guidance to match the demands of a career in dance. Past graduates of the Conservatory Division have gone on to earn professional ballet company contracts, receive full-ride scholarships to elite year-round training programs, and obtain company apprentice and training positions. Others have been accepted into prestigious university dance departments as well as received scholarship offers to reputable dance programs. Many Conservatory Division alumni have also achieved acceptances and full scholarships to top professional summer intensive programs. This track record demonstrates how our Conservatory Division training cultivates the skills and experience needed for a future in the professional world of dance.

Level 1 - Ballet & More

Level 1 Students should take both Monday and Saturday Ballet classes and may add other forms of dance to enrich their experience. Tuition is on an hourly basis – Full hourly rates can be seen here

Level 2 - Conservatory Division

Our Level 2 Students have taken ballet for 3-4 years. Level 2 students are required to take a minimum of two days per week. Tuition is on an hourly basis – Full hourly rates can be seen here

Level 3 - Conservatory Division

Our Level 3 Students have typically taken 4-5 years of ballet. Level 3 students are required to take a minimum of 3 days per week.  Students from outside California Ballet Conservatory MUST schedule an assessment class prior to registering for Level 3. Tuition is on an hourly basis – Full hourly rates can be seen here

Level 4 - Conservatory Division

Our Level 4 or Pre-Professional Dance program is by AUDITION ONLY.  All students interested MUST first schedule an assessment audition in the “Level 3” ballet technique class. Tuition is on an hourly basis – Full hourly rates can be seen here
